Antonella Barba is back, this time under the spotlights of gossip surrounding American idol for an alleged love story in the make with last-man-standing Blake Lewis.

There are no nude photos involved for the time being in what appears to be the latest gossip surrounding American Idol and its controversial semifinalist Antonella Barba, the Jersey Girl gone wild who hit the jackpot and gained instant celebrity thanks to her nude photos.

According to People magazine Blake Lewis caught Antonella's eye at the end of last week's performance and blew her a kiss. That's where the fine folks of National Ledger come into play claiming that Antonella promptly reciprocated and Blake captured the airborne kiss and held it close to his heart.

Tens of thousands who went berserk over Antonella's real nude photos and alleged porn ones must have built instant hate for Lewis, guilty of being close to "score" with the Jersey Girl gone topless.

Blake may end up doing what many others have dreamed to, but he is also exposing himself to the risk of losing votes because of his alleged romance with Antonella.

Breaking News Virginia Tech Killer's Note

Cho Seung-Hui, 23-Year-Old Student, Left 'Distrubing Note'

We now know the identity of the killer at Virginia Tech.

He is Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old resident alien of the United States, as first reported by ABC News.

Cho is a South Korean national, a Virginia Tech senior majoring in English and the man who killed 33 people — inlcuding himself — on the Virginia Tech campus Monday.

Sources tell ABC News that Cho killed two people in a dorm room, returned to his own dorm room where he re-armed and left a "disturbing note" before entering a classroom building on the other side of campus to continue his rampage. More...

Bush to Attend Virginia Tech

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush and first lady Laura Bush will attend Tuesday's convocation at Virginia Tech to remember those affected by the deadliest campus violence ever in this country.

As distant sirens continue sporadically , I find myself removed in my room with no TV. I watched President Bush’s address earlier and was surprised at how calm I was. I didn’t have the adrenaline or goose bumps that I thought I would. I just watched as he talked about the tragedy that has occurred here at Virginia Tech. I still am removed and isolated.

As this blog has received international attention, I find myself wondering what the world has come to. The media watch dogs, no offense, have jumped on this story and on me for, as one anonymous user said, ‘exploit my emotions’. At this time I do not believe this is so, because to put it simply: I’m willing to share my experience. This is nothing special. I don’t deserve any credit. I went to class as any other student would. I just happened to be on the other side of campus when the shots were fired later in the day. But isn’t that just it? What is remarkable about this story is that this is the story of an average student at this great school. Stories of horror, bloodshed, and death are soon to come from the victims of this horrible catastrophe and the limelight will shine onwards, for that is what the public thirsts for.

For those that are interested, I will write a more complete narrative of my experiences of today later, once the media frenzy has died down and I have a minute to better reflect. As of the time I am writing this I have done a radio interview with BBC and talked with a reporter from the LA Times. CBC Newsworld, the Boston Herald, Current TV, and MTV have asked for interviews and further information. As I said I intend to share my experiences with everyone, but I want to reinstate that I am just an average student and I don’t want to be made into something I am not.

Furthermore, upon looking at a few of the posts made on this blog, I want to declare that I am OFFENDED that people are allowing this to become a political debate. People are dead. My friends could be dead. Forget bickering about trivia. Now is not the time or the place. It is the media’s job to report to the public these stories. Take it as you wish. I’m not the media. I’m just me.

A few minutes ago I walked in the hallway of the dorm frustrated with the constant contacts of media coming in every minute. In my arrogance and limited perspective I walked into a friends room while in discussion and yelled out “I hate livejournal!”, which, concerning the current emotions of campus, was not the best thing to do. Understandably, they kicked me out.

This moment is a continuation of nothingness and un-thoughtfulness, I suppose a natural coping strategy, or perhaps I am used to such peril (which I hope to allude to in a later post). I am understandably in shock that the events I see on TV happened a hundred yards away from where I now type this. That is why I believe I am calm enough to perform interviews with these various media outlets, though; as they continue to get in contact I begin to wonder if it will ultimately destroy the purpose of the story and I become some idol.

At this time of constant calls from media, I also have been overwhelmed with support from friends and family. Countless people who I haven’t been in contact for several years have asked if I am alright. Since the phone lines are overwhelmed, people have IMed, e-mailed, facebooked, and used any other sort of means to ask about me.

Thank you for your concern. I am at a lost of words to describe the pain and anger that possess me right now. To know that friends and family are so supportive of me is an overwhelming assurance

This support goes way beyond me. This is the support of the nation because each and every student is receiving phone calls from friends and family. It is terribly sad that several dozen calls will now go unanswered.

Do you think this girl thinks highly of herself or what. Well guess what Antonella - you are known for your singing - that is you are known for being a really crappy singer! Now get over it.

She doesn't want to do the naked thing in playboy or the DVD porno thing either. She has some ilusions that the rest of the world values her for something other than her breasts. Guess what Antonella - you are only famous at the moment because millions of adolescent boys and a few fat lazyboy slobs want to see you naked. Your personality is ziltch (you and your friends came across as typical bubble headed, self indulgent, conceited college skanks), so what makes you think that the world wants to get to know you any better. You are nothing but a piece of flesh.

Take some advice - drop the clothes, do the playboy thing, take the money while it's there and then let your 15 minutes of fame die out gracefully. You will be forgotten faster than an Idol that does have some singing talent - at least you have the chance to make a few bucks before you crash and burn.

Before Thursday night's results show even started up, the American Idol contestant getting all the publicity was Antonella Barba. Barba became the early focus of attention in Idol's sixth season after photographs pf her performing a sex act made it onto the Internet. While Barba was able to survive the scandal in the voting the week they were released onto the Internet, Antonella couldn't hold on to make it into the final 12. The day after she was voted off American Idol, she gave a conference call to the media where she talked about everything, except for what was on people's minds.

Every Friday, a conference call is held with the Idol castaways, and while Antonella Barba was on the phone, reporters had but one thing on their minds. However, the publicist on the conference call had other ideas than to let questions about the controversy come up during the interview. THe publicist was forced to repeatedly state that Barba would not answer any questions relating to the racy photos, but that didn't stop journalists from asking. While the publicist in question had to say, "You know what, I think we're going to skip over that," or "Let’s move on," much of what was on reporters' minds could not be answered. More...

On Friday, journalists participated in the weekly conference calls with “American Idol" ejectees. The one with Antonella Barba, who was eliminated Thursday, was more farce that fact-finding, to say the least.

Reporters were told at the start of the call with the controversial “Idol” contestant that there was a “large number” of media people on the call.

Too bad not many of them got to ask questions of any substance.

The publicist on the call repeatedly said Barba would not answer questions about the racy photos of the singer that surfaced on the Web in recent weeks. Journalists were not happy, to say the least.

When Washington Post television columnist Lisa de Moraes asked, a few minutes into the call, if the lesson Barba learned was that women should not let themselves be photographed by their boyfriends “because boyfriends go away but photos never do,” and also asked if Barba had ever had acrylic tips on her fingernails (a reference to nude photos that may or not may be of the "Idol” singer), the publicist said, “You know what, I think we’re going to skip over that.” More...

Although rejected Jerseyite “Idol” wannabeen Antonella Barba was distracted by racy pics of her that spread over the web, her parental units apparently didn’t blink an eye.

“They’re really encouraging me to just not get battered by nonsense that doesn’t matter and that’s not relevant to the competition,” Barba told Ryan Seacrest this morning on his KIIS-FM show. The fallen slut-ebrity added that the whole situation was “hard to deal with” and an “unnecessary distraction.” Yes, it was distracting for many!

Barba revealed she’ll probably stick around L.A. for a bit to see what offers come her way, saying she’d like to keep singing (ack!), act, or even model. Looks like “Girls Gone Wild” may get their wish.

Just in time sex tapes and new photos as American Idol gets set to start the vote off. It's girls night tonight and one wonders if Antonella Barba will get through to the next round. Given all the teenage male admirers and maybe even a few beer guzzling couch potatoes, she may well garner the most votes again. American Idol claims it's "about the singing" but it has become apparent that looks do and always have counted for more than just talent - Jessica Simpson et al comes to mind.
